Atlas is our customised tool to analyse economic and employment activity for any geographic area within Australia. It is accessed by a web based, secure log in and is powered by a database of businesses. It can cover any given area defined by postcodes, suburbs, local government areas and other defined regions.
The Australian Business Atlas is used by Government and industry to map and analyse businesses and business activity to provide an input into strategic and economic development plans and to support decision making.
It enables clients to understand what businesses are located where and to analyse the different types of businesses. Users can investigate trends over time to see what businesses have established or gone out of business and what the net movement has been in annual increments since 2000. Business types can also be filtered to help identify home-based businesses. The solution is suited to a range of uses including:
